Clare Palmer is currently Professor of Philosophy at Texas A&M University. She was the founding editor of the journal Worldviews: Environment, Culture, Religion (Brill Academic Press) and held the position of President of the International Society for Environmental Ethics from 2007-2010. She was a member of the committee responsible for the 2019 US National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine report Forest Health and Biotechnology: Possibilities and Considerations. In addition to numerous articles and edited collections, Clare has published four books on environmental and animal ethics: Environmental Ethics (ABC-CLIO, 1997), Environmental Ethics and Process Thinking (Oxford University Press, 1998), Animal Ethics in Context (Columbia University Press, 2010), and Companion Animal Ethics (with Peter Sandoe and Sandra Corr – Wiley-Blackwell, 2015). Among other projects, Clare is working on a new co-authored book Wildlife Ethics: Animal Ethics in Wildlife Management and Conservation, contracted to Wiley Blackwell. |
